Back when Noah and the Whale were twee, they’d record B sides like this. Short, sweet, and annoyingly catchy, this showed nothing of what they were to become, but did show prowess in writing catchy songs, even if they were 87 seconds long. Peaceful, The World Lays Me Down, isn’t an amazing record, nor is it a beautiful record, but it was a platform with which to jump forward, and my, jump forward they did.
